MACY'S

The popular Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is a tradition dating back 89 years ago. This event is experienced by more than 3 million New Yorkers annually and over 50 million viewers from home. I had the privilege to work on a series of projects for this historic event including the website and installation located out front of Macy's Herald Square.

The concept of the website was to create a fun and festive experience targeted towards both adults and kids. I illustrated a bunch of balloons that varied in size and shape that housed all the navigation items. Users can scroll through the balloons to find information on the parade such as routes, history, line-up, etc. I also created a custom font that's used for the main navigation links and headers.

HOLIDAY INSTALLATION

In addition to the website, I illustrated a set of Macy's characters used for the Macy's Holiday installation located at their flagship store at Herald Square.

PICTURE CARDS

The installation encouraged users to walk up to the screen and have their faces photographed onto the bodies of the Macy's characters. Once completed, the photos were uploaded to Facebook where users could retrieve them as holiday cards.
